Heavy-duty outdoor brand Cat Footwear continues its legacy of “building a world for today and tomorrow” with an intriguing collaboration. A just-launched partnership with upscale British heritage fabric Harris Tweed.

As one of the world’s most durable, sustainable and world-renowned fabrics, Harris Tweed “is the perfect material to elevate Cat Footwear’s most recognised rugged lifestyle boot, the Colorado 2.0,” we’re told. 

The ‘tough-meets-lavish’ collaboration comes with a back story dubbed ‘Built from The Land’, “a true celebration and ode to the craft, hard work, and resilience of the people of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, from whom they source and weave the 100% wool fabric on the Isle of Harris”. 

The partnership sees Cat Footwear’s Colorado style reimagined in three Harris Tweed colour stories, “each inspired by the Outer Hebrides landscape and environments around the Isle of Harris”. 

The three colourways are Black, Chocolate Brown, and Amber Gold. Each has been draped over the Colorado’s ankle cuff and quarter panel, alongside the Cat Footwear features such as a durable rubber outsole, cushioned foam footbed, soft, breathable nylon mesh lining, finished in a soft-but-weather-resistant oiled nubuck finish.
