Wish you were at Lake Tahoe

Wish you were at Lake Tahoe

We wish you a great 2023 from beautiful Lake Tahoe! May the New Year bring you warmth of love, and a light to guide your path towards a positive destination.

WINTER CAME EARLY TO LAKE TAHOE

Lake Tahoe received its first significant snowfall on November 1st, and ski resorts were able to open before their estimated opening date, some even two weeks early. Winter season is now here in full force, having even more snowfall in December, creating perfect ski terrain. With 15 world-class ski resorts surrounding the lake to choose from, people staying on the south shore of Lake Tahoe tend to prefer to ride at Heavenly Mountain Resort, Kirkwood Mountain Resort, and Sierra at Tahoe. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, visitors can enjoy snowmobiling, ice skating, sledding, sleigh rides, snowshoeing, and many other winter activities.

APRES SKI AT LAKE TAHOE BREWERIES

Lake Tahoe winter activities are fun, but after a long day on the mountain, you’ll need a frosty beverage. Why not unwind with apres-ski beer at one of our local breweries? The art of craft beer has taken over the nation, and Lake Tahoe has joined the ranks. New breweries have been popping up all over town in recent years, displaying unique taps.

THE WEEKEND ITINERARY

Lake Tahoe is a fun playground for families or solo adventurous hungry for outdoor activities. You may ask: why’s that? Although I am slightly biased about California’s South Lake Tahoe, it is ranked #3 on the list of “Best Small Towns to Visit in the USA.” So, if you’re planning to make the most of your trip to the Sierras, make sure to visit South Lake Tahoe! To make sure you make the most of your time in this special place, here is a link to our South Lake Tahoe Itinerary to help you to take full advantage of your time in one of our favorite towns.

FEATURED ACTIVITY

When you need a break from skiing or snowmobiling, Tahoe Snowmobiles and Snow Tubing is guaranteed fun for the whole family. There is a gentle tube hill, suitable for even the youngest family member. And when you’re done tubing, you can take a snowmobile ride at a moment's notice. The tours are on a groomed track, and they are not guided. You can choose from two locations, one at Stateline, next to the Bally’ Lake Tahoe, and the second at South Lake Tahoe, at Tahoe Paradise Golf Course.

FEATURED HOTEL

Are you looking for a place to getaway with all the staycation vibes? Station House Inn is it! A full-service hotel nestled between the lake and mountains that’s a short walk to the Heavenly Gondola, one block away from the lake, and five blocks from the nightlife, this property is filled with personality for an all-encompassing experience. Guest favorites include ”high-end” s’mores by the relaxing fire pit courtesy of our partner Embarc, delivered straight to your room with a quick QR code scan. Not really into the fire pit scene? No worries. Aside from board games, nightly hot cocoa, and hot tea in the lobby, movie buffs enjoy Friday movie nights with freshly popped popcorn and all! And while enjoying your stay, make sure to stop by Toulouse, an on-site New Orleans-inspired restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
