What Is BTS Jimin Eating? His New Tour Food Photo Has ARMY Obsessed
Jimin has given ARMY another glimpse into life away from the stage during BTS’s ARIRANG World Tour — and this time, the internet is surprisingly interested in what is on his plate.
The BTS member shared a new 13-photo Instagram update featuring everything from seaside walks and concert moments to a relaxed meal with the members. But it was the final picture, showing Jimin with his cheeks full of food, that quickly became one of the most talked-about images. THE FIRST TIMES
So what exactly is Jimin eating?
What is Jimin eating in his new photo?
The safest answer right now is: it appears to be pizza, but Jimin has not officially identified the food.
Fans discussing the post have specifically joked about the members continuing their apparent love for deep-dish pizza, while coverage of the Instagram update describes the final picture simply as Jimin enjoying a meal with the members. Reddit
Because neither Jimin nor BIGHIT MUSIC has identified the restaurant or dish, claims about a specific pizza style should be treated as fan observation rather than confirmation.
Still, that hasn't stopped ARMY from becoming fascinated by the picture.
Why is Jimin's eating photo going viral?
It's partly because the image looks so ordinary.
Instead of posing onstage in one of BTS's elaborate ARIRANG outfits, Jimin appears relaxed with his blond hair loosely tied back and his cheeks noticeably puffed as he eats.
Japanese entertainment outlet THE FIRST TIMES highlighted reactions from fans commenting on how cute Jimin looked while enthusiastically enjoying his food. THE FIRST TIMES
It's exactly the kind of behind-the-scenes moment fans rarely get during a massive world tour.
Jimin shared 13 photos from his life on tour
Food wasn't the only unusual detail in the post.
In the first photograph, Jimin placed a pair of glasses on the ground and positioned his shadow so it looked as though his shadow was wearing the glasses.
Other pictures show him walking near the ocean at sunset, sitting casually on stairs, spending time near a pool and performing during BTS's Latin American tour. THE FIRST TIMES
The mix of polished concert shots and completely casual moments made the post feel more like a personal travel diary than traditional promotional content.
What foods does Jimin like?
The fascination isn't completely new.
Jimin has previously been associated with Korean comfort foods such as tteokbokki, and older footage of him eating the spicy rice cakes has attracted considerable attention from fans. K-pop Seoul Map
That is one reason seemingly simple photos of BTS members eating can generate so much curiosity: fans often want to know not just where the members are traveling, but what they actually eat when they're offstage.
Is BTS eating pizza during the ARIRANG tour?
There is some precedent.
Earlier during the tour, Jin shared an enormous pizza backstage during the Munich concerts, with Jimin appearing nearby in the sequence of photos. THE FIRST TIMES
So pizza clearly isn't completely foreign to BTS's tour meals.
Whether the food in Jimin's newest picture is exactly the same style, however, remains unconfirmed.
For now, the real attraction may not be the recipe at all.
It's simply seeing Park Jimin looking completely relaxed, cheeks full, enjoying dinner with the BTS members between stops on one of the biggest tours of the year.
