Paris Fashion Week SS27: The Front Row to Watch, Day by Day

Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 runs September 28 to October 6, 2026. Nine days, 68 runway shows, 33 presentations. And for the first time in several seasons, the K-pop contingent that has dominated Paris front rows since 2023 faces a scheduling problem that will visibly reshape who sits where. Here is the calendar, the houses to watch, and why this season's guest lists will look different from the last four.
The calendar
The nine-day event brings together 101 houses including 68 runway shows, and opens with Julie Kegels at 2:30 PM on September 28.

September 29 opens with Dior at 2:30 PM and closes with Saint Laurent at 9:00 PM, with Maison Margiela returning to the Paris calendar after showing in Shanghai last season. Louis Vuitton has been given the closing slot, a position the house has frequently held over the past decade.
Why the front row shifts this season
The single biggest variable is not a brand decision. It is a tour routing.
BTS is mid-run on the ARIRANG World Tour, and the Latin American leg opens at Estadio San Marcos in Lima on October 7. Paris Fashion Week ends October 6. For members who have anchored Dior and Louis Vuitton front rows across recent seasons, a Paris appearance would land inside the tightest possible travel window before a stadium date on another continent.
That does not guarantee absence. Attendance is confirmed by houses days before each show, sometimes hours. But it does mean the houses that have leaned hardest on K-pop draw are working with a narrower roster than usual, and the seats will go somewhere. Three things to track:
- Which houses announce ambassadors early. Early announcements signal a house that has secured its draw. Silence into late September usually means negotiations are still open.
- Whether the vacuum pulls in C-pop and Thai talent. Both have been building ambassador presence in Paris for several seasons and have no comparable touring conflict this window.
- The Louis Vuitton closing slot on October 6. The last show of the week is the highest-visibility seat in fashion, and it falls the day before Lima.
Debuts worth the seat
Two creative directors present their first collections. Drew Henry shows his debut for Courrèges, and Kai Nesselrath makes his first appearance at Carven. Henry arrives from Burberry, where he was senior design director; Nesselrath spent a decade at Saint Laurent, most recently as head designer.
One label joins the calendar for the first time. Maxhosa Africa, the South African house founded by Laduma Ngxokolo and worn by Beyoncé and Michelle Obama, makes its Paris debut.
And one house shows without a named designer. Alaïa presents on October 3 with the collection handled by the house studio, following Pieter Mulier's departure to become Versace's chief creative officer, with no successor named.
Who is missing
The absences shape the week as much as the debuts. McQueen moves to London Fashion Week under Seán McGirr. Rabanne waits until March for Olivier Rousteing's debut. Nina Ricci sits out after Harris Reed stepped down in March 2026. Off-White, Enfants Riches Déprimés and Thom Browne also skip Paris, while Marine Serre, Coperni and Giambattista Valli have withdrawn as they adjust timing around showroom sales and revised commercial calendars.
For a season that follows heavy designer reshuffling, that is a meaningful thinning of the schedule. The previous Spring/Summer season carried 74 shows and 37 presentations.
The Japanese block
One of the season's quieter strengths. The SS27 calendar carries a deep Japanese contingent spanning Anrealage, Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto, Junya Watanabe, Noir Kei Ninomiya, Comme des Garçons, Sacai, CFCL, Ujoh and Mame Kurogouchi.
