SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, July 2025 – With   a renewed focus that pays homage to the culinary and cultural richness of the Bajío region, Casa de Sierra Nevada, A Belmond Hotel, celebrates the reopening of its renowned Sazón cooking school with a very special event:  The Apron Gathering . Located in a majestic 18th-century mansion in the heart of San Miguel de Allende, Sazón has been redesigned to offer a unique educational and sensorial experience. Under the direction of Chef Rubén Yañez, this new phase seeks to position Sazón as a space that transcends technical teaching, inviting participants to explore Mexico's culinary roots through meaningful and authentic experiences.

During  The Apron Gathering , guests will enjoy live cooking stations, Mexican wine pairings, real-time handcrafted embroidery, and conversations that delve into the region's traditions. This event marks not only the reopening of a space, but also the reaffirmation of Belmond's commitment to the authenticity, creativity, and soul of San Miguel de Allende.

A hands-on class is then held in which participants prepare traditional dishes and enjoy a tasting of their food, all in a warm and culturally enriching environment.

Classes last three hours and are held daily at two times: 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. Groups are limited to up to 10 people and reservations are required. Private classes are also available upon request, ideal for personalized experiences or special celebrations.

Prices vary depending on the type of experience: MXN $2,950 per person for open groups (up to 10 people), MXN $22,700 for private groups of 1 to 6 people, and MXN $29,500 for private groups of 7 to 10 people.
